Whiteville Christmas Parade 2009
This was the second year Bible Buddies marched in the Whiteville Christmas Parade. This year we had a bigger trailer to hold more people and a whole lot more Bibles! We started marching with around 4,000 New Testemants and passed out almost all of them! It was such a blessing to all who participated and all who received one of our gifts!
Columbus County Agricultural Fair 2009 Bible Buddies had a booth at the fair this year, in which we distributed hundreds of Bibles, New Testaments and Bible Story Books. Our booth also won first place in our division which gave us more money to buy more Bibles with. It was a week full of blessing for anyone who participated!
Beaverdam Fall Gospel Sing
The Beaverdam Fall Gospel sing has become an annual event every year in October. It closes up the revival week at our church and is always a blessing to anyone who participates, especially this year. If you did make it to this year's sing...make sure to not miss next years!
See You At The Pole Rally
Bible Buddies participated in the "See You At The Pole" rally hosted by Common Ground. Huge inflatables, Christian singing, fellowship and even sumo wrestling surround the Columbus County Fair Grounds on September 19th to get students excited about the annual See You At The Pole tradition. Everyone who attended had a great time and recieved a blessing!
Bible School 2009
Bible School this year marked the one year birthday for Bible Buddies. It was by far one of the best Bible Schools ever! We had a game show theme entitle "Studio Go" and we wanted to make it fun for everyone. We also wanted to think of a creative way to raise money for our Bible Buddies ministry. Keeping the game show theme, we came up with a game entitled "Penny Warriors". This was featured in the
News Reporter and you can read that article by following the link. We divided our Bible School, which averaged 380 people a night, into four groups. These groups each had a bucket to put spare change into. However, whoever raised the most money didnt automatically win. Pennies were plus points and everything else was negative points. At the end of the week, the losing teams had to kiss a goat! It was a lot of fun and everyone participated with Christain attitudes! We raised over $2,200 in one week of Bible School...below are just a few pictures from that awesome week!
"Ways To Praise"
"Ways To Praise" was an event put together by Common Ground in June of 2009 to bring the youth of Columbus County together. Bible Buddies set up a tent and gave out Bibles, New Testaments, Biblical Coloring Books and Children's Bibles and balloons. We also had some donated crafts for sale including painted gourds, canvases and picture frames. We also had our Bible Buddies T-Shirts for sale! Along with Bibles Buddies, our cherubs performed at this event and did an awesome job! We had a great time in the Lord, gave out lots of Bibles and raised money to buy even more to share!
